Huge SHOUT OUT to my client Hayleigh. Just finished up with my 12 weeks Hybrid programme. She's around 26-27lbs down and on her way to reaching her goal weight, size, fitness level, lifestyle and mental strength. She's super chuffed with her results and we have another 12 weeks booked ๐Ÿ’ช I've not told her this, her initial reasons for her to contacting me was due to her impulsiveness. I definitely get that, how many times have we said "ok I'm going to do this ..." but we never really do it, or at least we don't give it much of commitment of our efforts. Hayleigh on the other hand was different, she calls it impulsive, but I see it more as "dipping your toes in". You see, sometimes we NEED to dip our toes in, just to test the water. Hell, we don't like the shock of a freezing cold pool. Well, getting a Health Coach isn't that disimilar. You know it's going to be about reducing your food intake, about working out and increasing your activity. But sometimes it can be just too much to dive straight into the deep end of the pool. That's what you've been trying to do yourself, go gung ho with your diet and exercise, do 6 classes a week and JUST eat chicken and brocolli. It's great, but you end up burning yourself out physically and mentally, giving it all up after a month and going back to your old habits. Say bye bye to your gains and the 8lbs you lost ๐Ÿ˜ข Well, here's where I'm different. I like my clients to dip their toes into the water. Test it out, see if you like it. If they do, awesome. Dip your foot in and progress a little bit further. Still liking it? Ok cool, let's get your whole legs in there now. See where I'm getting at? ๐Ÿ˜‰ This way, we gradually progress. We gradually become fitter, healthier, we gradually lose your first few lbs. We gradually get your to work out on your own and give you the confidence, your own self motivation and determination to do this with AND without me standing there infront of you. Being on a "diet" shouldn't be boring. Infact I encourage my clients to make sure all their meals are enjoyable, colourful and in most cases easy to make, prepare or buy. Here's a few snaps of what my clients have been eating this week. From food prepping, to "fakeaways", to home cooking meal and to healthier restaurant food choices. The worse type of "diet" you can do is the one you can't stick too. So make sure what you are doing DOESN'T require will power. Will power will only get you so far, until you crack and go back to your old ways. Instead, work on sustainable changes, which doesn't cut foods out and encourages you to eat more variety. Remember be mindful when eating, sit at a table and enjoy it, instead of infront of a TV, mindlessly eating and snacking. Stay focused, stay on track, if you slip up don't stress, we all slip up sometimes. However regain control and be patient and consistant.
